DEMONGATE

about the movie

DEMONGATE is a terrifying motion picture originally created for a 48-Hour Film Competition sponsored by the Central Michigan University chapter of the National Broadcasting Society. It was written and directed by Christopher Slat and written and produced by Nicole Shackelford, Jay Melich, and Charles Kressbach.

The 48-hour cut of the film was entirely written, shot, and edited between noon on April 9, 2010 and noon on April 11. The competition required all movies be six minutes or less and include:

-- a "heist"
-- a vinyl record
-- a street corner
-- a one-sided phone conversation
-- the line of dialogue, "once again, ladies and gentlemen"

DEMONGATE won first place in the competition.

The "director's cut" of DEMONGATE adds several things that could not be incorporated into the original version due to the time constraints on both the production process and the film's running time. The most notable changes include new opening/closing credits and an original music score.

Prepare for demon terror. Prepare for demon death. Prepare for DEMONGATE!!!
